What hours are you open?

  • 8:30am-6:30pm Monday to Thursday
  • 8:30am-5pm Friday
  • Saturday by appointment

Do you have a waiting list?

No. Appointments are usually available within 24-48 hours, although more often than not there are availabilities on the day.

Do I need a referral?

  • Private patients do not need a referral. However if you have one, please bring it along so your physiotherapist can contact your referring practitioner if necessary.
  • Referrals are necessary for work claims (e.g., WorkCover, InjuryNet), Third Party, Dept of Veteran Affairs and Medicare (i.e., EPC).

How long are appointments?

Appointments are 30 minutes. Longer appointments are available on request at an additional cost.

Do I need to come early for my first appointment?

Yes please! Ten minutes early will give you time to complete the paperwork and leave you with the entire appointment time for assessment and treatment.

What should I wear?

Ideally, wear loose, comfortable clothing. For some complaints, your physiotherapist may ask you to take off clothing items to better see and assess the injured area. Gowns are provided for this.

Do I need to bring x-rays, scans or medical notes with me?

If you have any reports, x-rays or scans it may be helpful if you bring them with you to the appointment.

What if I'm running late?

Please note that if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you will need to reschedule. This is so that other clients who are on time will not be kept waiting.

I need to cancel my appointment - what do I do?

We require 8 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment, otherwise a cancellation fee of $20 will apply. Your consideration with this also helps us to plan our staffing levels and avoid turning other clients away.

What happens during the initial appointment?

During the initial appointment a thorough assessment will be carried out on the injured area. This requires your physiotherapist to ask you questions regarding your injury and perform a number of special tests on the problem area to further diagnose the cause of your pain. Your physiotherapist will then discuss a treatment plan with you, outlining the likely frequency and duration of treatment. Hands-on treatment will be given during the initial appointment.

How many follow up treatments will I need?

This depends on the nature and severity of your problem. Your physiotherapist will re-assess you each visit and modify your treatment plan accordingly. Referral to a specialist can be arranged if necessary.

What are your payment terms?

Payment is required after each consultation. We have cash, credit card, eftpos and health fund facilities available.

Can I claim through my health fund?

Absolutely! Bring your health fund card and an on the spot claim can be made through our HICAPS facilities. You will only be required to pay the remaining gap. This will vary depending on your health fund and level of cover. We are preferred providers for Bupa and Medibank Private, which means you will receive a higher level of benefit and less out of pocket expenses at our practice.
